The Role
The university is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Crafts (Metal Art) to take a leading role in teaching, research, and programme development. You will work closely with students in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, supervising projects, developing curriculum, and shaping critical and conceptual learning pathways.
Key responsibilities include:

Teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Leading curriculum development and program planning

Organizing exhibitions, workshops, and public-facing events

Collaborating with national and international craft networks

Engaging in research and artistic development projects

Participating in departmental planning and development
This position is based at Campus Steneby in Dals LĂĄnged and requires physical presence.
Who Should Apply
You are a practicing artist or craftsperson with:

A strong portfolio in metal art

Teaching experience in higher education

Proficiency in English (Swedish is a plus, but not mandatory)

A doctorate in arts OR equivalent professional/artistic expertise

Skills in leading projects and fostering creative learning environments
Additional strengths include curriculum development, student recruitment, and involvement in international craft networks.
Bonus: Candidates who don’t yet hold a Swedish teaching qualification are expected to complete the required courses within two years.
