They are currently hiring for an 80% Lecturer position in the Section of Pharmaceutical Sciences, focusing on Therapeutic Chemistry. The role is based in Geneva and offers a vibrant academic environment rich in research collaboration and teaching excellence.

This position encompasses responsibility for both cutting-edge research and high-quality teaching. The selected candidate will engage in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry research, specifically in the synthesis of small molecules and PROTACs targeting therapeutic areas such as cancer, rare diseases, and infections. These research activities will align with the Pharmaceutical Biochemistry group and are expected to extend into collaborative work with private sector partners.

Teaching responsibilities include leading several practical courses such as BUSP2 (12H906), BUSP3 (13H903), and the Pharmaceutical Chemistry course (12H006), and gradually increasing the teaching load as needed. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to apprentice training, outreach activities at Pharmascope, and supervise master’s students. Management responsibilities within the Pharmaceutical Sciences Section and the broader Faculty will also be part of this role.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent and demonstrate experience in pharmaceutical chemistry and teaching laboratory practices. Prior experience in training apprentices will be considered an asset.
