🎯 About the Department

The department is responsible for the Socionomprogrammet (Bachelor of Social Work), master’s programs, and research education in social work. This generalist training program emphasizes both academic theory and professional development, preparing students for diverse roles in the social service sector. A key element of the program is the verksamhetsförlagd utbildning (VFU)—supervised practical training—which helps students apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.

👨‍🏫 Role & Responsibilities

The university is hiring 3–5 university lecturers (universitetsadjunkter) who will:

  • Teach and evaluate students in VFU

  • Support personal and professional development (PPU)

  • Guide instruction in social work methods and assessment tools like MI, BBIC, and IBIC

  • Address diverse social work areas such as child protection, mental health, elder care, intimate partner violence, disability, and economic support

  • Handle course administration using digital platforms like Studium (Canvas) and Inspera

✅ Who Should Apply?

To be eligible, you should:

  • Have a socionomexamen (Bachelor of Social Work) or equivalent

  • Be fluent in Swedish, both written and spoken

  • Have a good understanding of the social work profession

  • Demonstrate teaching experience in related areas

  • Be capable of working independently and as part of a team

🌱 Additional Merits

Experience with:

  • Educational platforms like Canvas

  • PowerPoint and Microsoft Office tools

  • Higher education pedagogy (or equivalent training)

📆 Terms of Employment

  • Duration: Fixed-term, approx. 6–10 months

  • Scope: 15% to 50% (Part-time)

  • Start Date: From August 11, 2025 (negotiable)

  • Location: Uppsala (travel to Campus Gotland possible)

  • Salary: Negotiated individually
